The first cooperative banks were founded in the 19th century, following the vision of Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen and Hermann Schulze-Delitzsch, the founders of the first rural cooperative banks in Germany. The first Raiffeisen credit cooperatives were founded in Luxembourg in 1925. In early 1926, the existing banks set up the ‘Centrale des Caisses Raiffeisen luxembourgeoises’, known as Banque Raiffeisen since 2001.
The Luxembourg Esports Federation (LESF) is a non-profit association (association sans but lucratif) established in 2020 with the aim to promote esports in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, federate esports stakeholders and represent their collective interests towards external parties and the Luxembourg authorities.
The Pirate Party Luxembourg (Luxembourgish: Piratepartei Lëtzebuerg is a registered political party in Luxembourg. The party follows the pirate political doctrine developed by the Swedish Pirate Party. It champions citizen’s rights, improved data protection and privacy for physical persons, more transparency of government, free access to information and education. Beyond this, it calls for an in-depth overhaul of copyright and patent law, and opposes every form of censorship.
